Asian Art Museum recap
December 9, 2009 by Christian Cabuay · 2 Comments

Had a great time at the Asian Art Museum on Sunday 12/6 for Parol and Baybayin demo with Ray from Malaya Designs. People learned how to make a parol and learn about Baybayin. Ray carved bamboo tiles on the spot. I brought over some of my prints and paintings as well as my book.

Here’s my nude parol. Guess what I’ll be doing with it?

Baybayin (aka Alibata) is a pre-Filipino writing system from the islands known as the "Philippines". This site is run by Christian Cabuay who also runs
Christian, it was great meeting you at the museum. Thank you for being there, and sharing your art and knowledge about Baybayin.
@Deborah, Thank you! It was a lot of fun and hope to do it again.
